My name is Clarence De Bruyne and I would like to know if there is a DeBruyne Creast. My dad came from Belgium 1905 with most of his family and farm machinery with horses. Later he was loan from the Canadian Army to the Belgium Army. I have most of the documents from the Canadian Army but nothing was mentionened about medals and the amount of time my dad spent in the hospital presumably after having is leg nearly shot off and almost being throwen in with the dead. His nane in Canada was Kamil Jon DeBruyne and I think many of the things mentioned during the war have been given the spin that he either was not the responsibilty of the Canadian ary and if he got medals it was arount 1950. instead of after the war. My family have mentioned time and time again that there is a family creast, Major family surnames on my fathers side are: De Bruyne, DeBruycker,Crommelinck and Crommlink taking the family back to 1648. Respectfully Clarence De Bruyne.
